Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating a supplier account, buying a plan or listing on WeddingZone.ie, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
WeddingZone.ie is an Irish wedding directory and marketplace operated by Katarzyna Pretsch and Rafal Wepa, trading as Wedding Zone (registered business name no. 740396), 26 Blackrock, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, F23 RH60, Ireland. In these Terms, ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ mean Wedding Zone, and ‘you’ means the person or business that holds a supplier account. You can contact us at info@weddingzone.ie.
2. Who these Terms are for
These Terms apply to wedding suppliers and other businesses that list on WeddingZone.ie or buy a plan. Section 11 also applies to anyone who sells items in our marketplace, including couples selling pre-loved items. You must be at least 18 and have the authority to agree to these Terms for your business. If you use the site as a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under consumer law.
3. Your account
- You must give accurate and complete information, and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, so keep your password private.
- You may hold one account per business. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Plans and fees
- We offer annual plans: Essential (€90), Signature (€150) and Pro (€240). The features of each plan are described on our plans page when you buy.
- Vendor store access for selling in our marketplace is included in every plan. Couples’ enquiries are sent to suppliers on every plan. The extra features of the Pro plan are described on our plans page when you buy.
- Plans are paid for in advance. Each plan runs for 12 months from the day you buy it, whatever the time of year.
- Plans do not renew automatically. We will email you before your plan ends so that you can renew if you wish.
- The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. If we become registered for VAT, we will add VAT where the law requires it and tell you before we do.
- We may change our prices or plans for future purchases. A change does not affect a plan you have already paid for.
5. Refunds and cancellation
Because plans are paid in advance for a full 12 months of access, we do not offer refunds after a plan has been bought. You may close your account at any time, but the plan fee is not refundable and your plan stays active until its end date.
We may, at our own discretion, offer a credit or extension in individual cases. We are not obliged to do so, and an offer in one case does not create a right for anyone else. Nothing in this section affects any right you have under law that cannot be excluded.
Extension if you receive no enquiries. If your listing receives no enquiries through WeddingZone.ie in its first 3 months, we will add 3 months to your plan at no charge. The 3 months start on the day we open the site to couples, or on the day you buy your plan if that is later. Your listing must be complete (description, photos, price, category and county). The extension applies once, to your first plan only, and you must ask for it by emailing info@weddingzone.ie within 30 days after the 3 months end. An enquiry means a message a couple sends you through your listing, or an enquiry form we forward to you. Contact that happens outside the site cannot be counted.
6. When your plan ends
When your plan ends and you have not renewed, your listing is hidden from the site. We keep your listing and account details for 90 days so that you can renew and restore it. After 90 days we may delete your listing. If you buy a new plan within the 90 days, your listing is restored.
7. Your listing
- You are responsible for the content of your listing, including text, photos, prices and contact details. It must be accurate, up to date and not misleading.
- Prices and offers you show must be genuine. For example, a ‘from’ price must be a price you really charge, and a reduced price must be compared with a real earlier price.
- Choose the right category and county for your business.
- You must own, or have permission to use, everything you upload. You keep ownership of your content, but you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to display it on WeddingZone.ie and to promote your listing, for as long as it is on the site.
- Your listing must not contain anything unlawful, offensive, or that infringes anyone else’s rights.
- You must hold any licences, permits and insurance your business needs.
- We may edit, hide or remove a listing that breaks these Terms or that we reasonably believe could harm couples or the site.
8. Enquiries from couples
- Couples can contact you through your listing, and we forward couples’ enquiry forms to suppliers in the matching categories and counties after we have reviewed them. This applies to suppliers on every plan.
- We do not guarantee that you will receive any number of enquiries, bookings or income.
- You must reply to enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Any booking or contract is between you and the couple. We are not a party to it, we do not take a commission on bookings, and we are not responsible for what either of you promise or deliver.
- When you receive a couple’s details, you must use them only to respond to their enquiry. You must not add them to a marketing list without their permission, and you must not share or sell their details. You are responsible for handling those details in line with data protection law, and you must delete them if the couple asks.
9. Reviews
Couples may leave reviews of suppliers. You must not post fake reviews, review your own business or a competitor’s, offer rewards for positive reviews, or pressure couples to change or remove a review. We may remove reviews that break our rules. We do not edit a review to change its meaning.
10. The WeddingZone badge
While your plan is active you may display the WeddingZone badge on your website using the code we provide, without changing it. The badge shows that you hold an active plan with us. It is not a recommendation by us or a guarantee of the quality of your work. You must remove the badge if your plan ends or if we ask you to because you have broken these Terms.
11. Selling in the marketplace
This section applies to anyone who sells items in the WeddingZone marketplace.
- Fees. Listing items is free. We take a commission of 5% of the sale price of each item sold. We deduct it before we pay you. Any fees charged by our payment provider are shown in your dashboard.
- Payouts. You withdraw your earnings through your dashboard, following the process and any minimum amount shown there.
- Your items. You must be entitled to sell each item and describe it honestly, including whether it is new or pre-loved, its condition and any defects. You must not sell counterfeit, stolen, illegal or dangerous items, or items that break our rules.
- Sales and delivery. The sale is between you and the buyer. You are responsible for delivery or collection, and for dealing with questions and complaints. If you sell as a business, you must follow consumer law, including rules on returns and cancellation. Our Return Policy explains how problems are handled.
- We are a platform. We provide the marketplace, but we are not the seller and we do not check items, so we are not responsible for them.
- Staying on the platform. You must not arrange to complete a sale outside the marketplace to avoid our commission.
- Tax. You are responsible for any tax that applies to your sales, including income tax and VAT, where relevant.
12. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the site in a way that is unlawful, misleading, abusive or harassing;
- send spam or unwanted marketing through our messages or enquiry forms;
- create fake accounts or pretend to be someone else;
- copy or scrape the site, or interfere with how it works or its security;
- misuse couples’ personal details.
13. Our responsibility
- We provide the platform, and we work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. We may carry out maintenance or changes from time to time.
- We are not responsible for the actions of suppliers, couples, buyers or sellers.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
- Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, income, bookings or business, or for indirect loss. Our total liability to you for anything connected with these Terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event.
14. Suspension and ending your account
We may suspend or close your account, remove your listing, or refuse a plan if you break these Terms, if we reasonably believe your account is being misused, or if the law requires. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why. If we close your account because you broke these Terms, you are not entitled to a refund. You may close your account at any time by emailing info@weddingzone.ie, subject to Section 5.
15. Your data
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal data. When you receive a couple’s details through the site, you are responsible for how you use them, as set out in Section 8.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on the site with a new date and, for important changes, tell you by email. If you keep using the site after the change takes effect, you accept the new Terms. A change does not alter a plan you have already paid for.
17. General
- These Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about your use of the site, and replace any earlier discussions.
- If a part of these Terms is found to be invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- You may not transfer your account or your rights under these Terms to anyone else without our permission.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer.
- Notices to us should be sent to info@weddingzone.ie. We may give you notice by email or on the site.
